Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) sind Kooperationsinitiativen, die Bildungs- und Ausbildungsanbieter, Branchenvertreter, Behörden und andere Interessengruppen zusammenbringen, um eine hochwertige berufliche Aus- und Weiterbildung (Englisch: Vocational Education and Training, kurz: VET) anzubieten. In H2VE fungieren CoVEs als regionale Innovationsmotoren, die Bildungsangebote an die sich wandelnden Anforderungen des Wasserstoffsektors anpassen und enge Verbindungen zwischen Ausbildung und Beschäftigung fördern.

CoVEs sind mehr als nur Ausbildungsanbieter – sie sind regionale Zentren für Innovation und Zusammenarbeit. Was sie von herkömmlichen Berufsbildungsallianzen unterscheidet, ist ihr integrierter Ansatz, der Bildung, Industrie, Forschung und öffentliche Politik miteinander verbindet, um den tatsächlichen Qualifikationsbedarf zu decken und den wirtschaftlichen Wandel voranzutreiben.
