Τα Κέντρα Επαγγελματικής Αριστείας (CoVEs) είναι συνεργατικές πρωτοβουλίες που φέρνουν κοντά παρόχους εκπαίδευσης και κατάρτισης, εκπροσώπους της βιομηχανίας, δημόσιες αρχές και άλλα ενδιαφερόμενα μέρη, με στόχο την παροχή υψηλής ποιότητας επαγγελματικής εκπαίδευσης και κατάρτισης (ΕΕΚ). Στο H2VE, τα CoVEs λειτουργούν ως περιφερειακοί μοχλοί καινοτομίας, ευθυγραμμίζοντας τις εκπαιδευτικές παροχές με τις εξελισσόμενες ανάγκες του τομέα του υδρογόνου και ενισχύοντας τη διασύνδεση μεταξύ κατάρτισης και απασχόλησης.

Τα CoVEs είναι κάτι περισσότερο από απλούς παρόχους κατάρτισης — είναι περιφερειακοί κόμβοι καινοτομίας και συνεργασίας. Το στοιχείο που τα διαφοροποιεί από τις συμβατικές VET συμμαχίες είναι η ολοκληρωμένη προσέγγισή τους, η οποία διασυνδέει εκπαίδευση, βιομηχανία, έρευνα και δημόσια πολιτική, ώστε να ανταποκρίνεται στις πραγματικές ανάγκες δεξιοτήτων και να προωθεί τον οικονομικό μετασχηματισμό.
