The Hydrogen Valley Vocational Excellence Hub (H2VE), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, officially began its journey with a successful virtual kick-off meeting, held online on March 21st, 2025. This meeting brought together all project partners for the first time, marking the start of an ambitious four-year collaboration.
H2VE unites 19 partners from six countries — Italy, Greece, Germany, Poland, Latvia, and Ghana — with a shared goal: to develop skills ecosystems that support the growth of Hydrogen Valleys and address the evolving demands of the hydrogen sector.

Supporting Skills for a Green and Digital Future

At its core, the H2VE project aims to create six Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), each serving as a regional hub for collaborative innovation, knowledge exchange, and the co-design of vocational training strategies. These centres will support the green and digital transitions by equipping learners, educators, and professionals with competencies that align with local priorities and emerging energy technologies.

Through modular, future-oriented training programmes, H2VE will enable vocational excellence that is adaptable, inclusive, and regionally embedded.

A Strong Start and a Shared Vision

During the kick-off meeting, partners shared institutional insights, discussed strategic objectives, and laid the groundwork for the development of training content across the hydrogen value chain. The meeting also covered project governance, work package coordination, and communication strategies, establishing a strong foundation for cross-country collaboration.

Participants emphasized the importance of regional relevance, sustainability, and the integration of technological innovation into vocational education and training (VET).

Project Duration and Outlook

The H2VE project runs from 1 February 2025 to 31 January 2029. During this time, the consortium will design and implement training modules, pilot innovative delivery formats, and support workforce development in the hydrogen sector across Europe and Africa.

Stay connected as we continue to build the future of hydrogen skills and vocational excellence.
