As the global energy transition accelerates, hydrogen technologies are expected to play a key role in enabling a more sustainable and integrated energy future. The Hydrogen Valley Vocational Excellence Hub (H2VE), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, is proud to lead this transformation by developing innovative vocational training aligned with the needs of Hydrogen Valleys across Europe and Africa.
At the heart of this initiative are six newly established Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), strategically located in:
🇮🇹 Italy
🇬🇷 Greece
🇩🇪 Germany
🇵🇱 Poland
🇱🇻 Latvia
🇬🇠Ghana
Each CoVE is a regional skills and innovation hub that brings together vocational education providers, industry leaders, research institutions, and policy actors. These centres co-create modular, future-proof training programmes that respond directly to local hydrogen priorities and labour market demands.
Designed to foster excellence, adaptability, and inclusiveness, the CoVEs will:
- Develop comprehensive training pathways based on EQF-aligned learning units
- Promote collaboration between education and industry to ensure labour-market relevance
- Act as regional focal points for innovation, knowledge exchange, and stakeholder engagement
- Empower learners, educators, and professionals to gain the skills needed for a sustainable hydrogen economy
With 19 partners from 6 countries, the H2VE consortium has already laid the foundation for a transnational alliance that not only advances vocational excellence, but also strengthens Europe’s and Africa’s leadership in green energy and skills development .
