On the 16th of December, an internal H2VE workshop was held at UniPG, marking the launch of the regional programme’s co-design process.

The workshop was held at the Department of Engineering of the University of Perugia to discuss the regional program and its future development. The meeting brought together members of the H2VE working group, external teachers, PhD students, and academic staff, fostering a collaborative and interdisciplinary dialogue.

Project updates were presented by the coordinator, Giovanni Cinti, who outlined the current status of the H2VE initiatives and highlighted the key milestones achieved so far. The discussion then focused on defining the next steps, with particular attention to strengthening hydrogen education in the region over the next three years.

Significant opportunities were identified within the University’s existing Master’s and PhD programs, particularly in courses addressing hydrogen technologies for mobility and industrial applications. These academic pathways represent a strong foundation for expanding specialized training and enhancing regional expertise in the hydrogen sector.

In addition, relevant industrial and public stakeholders in the region were mapped to assess potential collaboration opportunities. Several concrete options emerged to actively involve these stakeholders in the program and to design targeted educational initiatives. In particular, the development of specific training activities focusing on the advantages and practical applications of hydrogen technologies for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) was identified as a strategic priority.
